We are looking to hire a full-time Infant Adoption Specialist. Our Adoption Specialists are responsible for supporting adoptive families during the adoption process. They may perform home studies, pre and post placement counseling and recommend or deny certification for prospective adoptive families. This position assesses, educates, evaluates, and prepares eligible adoptive families, including writing the Adoption Home Study Report needed for adoption certification, as well as other relevant court reports related to severance and adoption. This position also provides post-placement supervision for adoptions, including writing the appropriate reports to the court and making appropriate referrals for services. This position pays a competitive salary of $18.27 – $21.00 per hour and provides a flexible benefits package which can include health insurance, disability insurance, paid vacation and holiday, mileage reimbursement, and retirement plan.

Christian Family Care is a certified Best Christian Workplace organization and accredited through the Council on Accreditation. Requirements for this position include:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, family & marriage studies, or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in a child welfare setting.
• Working knowledge of state adoption laws, ICWA, ICPC and issues around adoptive parenting, infertility, grief & loss, and kinship adoptions.
• Regional travel 20%-30% with valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record, proof of current vehicle registration and insurance.
